Traders and products from the iconic Jerusalem shuk arrived in support of the Ezer Mizion International Bone Marrow Registry
Thousands of people turned up at Lee Valley for the event which was sponsored by the Jerusalem office of Minister Ze’ev Elkin and was designed to encourage the expansion of the Ezer Mizion Bone Marrow Donor Base and facilitating more life saving transplants.
The attendees gathered in the market area to experience the smells of the colourful market, to hear the voices of the traders and to buy the goods brought directly from Israel.
Ezer Mizion has been operating for decades for the welfare of sick families, established a bone marrow donation registry under the direction of Dr. Bracha Zisser in 1998, and over the last 20 years more than 2,600 people have received new life thanks to bone marrow transplants through the registry.
Ezer Mizion, which has worked for the last week with the production team of Inspire and Machane Yehuda market traders, expressed their thanks to the UK Jewish Community for their support in the success of the Machane Yehuda in London and look forward to their 20th year Gala Dinner in June and many more market events in the future.
