Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was released from hospital on Tuesday evening after suffering from a high fever and a cough. Netanyahu said on Twitter: “I am on my way home. Sure some rest and hot soup will put things right.” An official statement from his office said hospital tests indicated the Prime Minister was suffering from a mild viral infection of his upper respiratory tract. “The doctors recommended him to rest and undergo medical treatment.” Netanyahu, 68, was ordered to undergo a series of tests.
His personal physician, Dr. Berkowitz, said that he believes the prime minister’s symptoms from an illness he was suffering two weeks ago may have worsened due to not completing the period of rest required for recovery.
