Minister of Foreign Affairs Israel Katz issued a statement yesterday regarding the US Treasury Department’s sanctions on on the shadow financia network of Iran’s Defence Ministry and IRGC, as follows:

“I welcome today’s sanctions imposed by the US Treasury Department on the shadow financial networks of Iran’s Defence Ministry and of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). It is an important step in the fight against the Iranian regime and its efforts to finance terror, proliferate armaments, and destabilize the Middle East and the rest of the world. Strong international cooperation is the key to tackling the Iranian threat.”
