The Reception class of Beit Shvidler in Edgware recently celebrated receiving their first Siddur in a heart warming and joyous event. Beit Shvidler recently underwent a Kodesh inspection and achieved an Outstanding grade in all areas. The inspectors praised the school’s “warm and caring atmosphere,” noting that pupils receive “an inspiring and holistic Kodesh education” with a curriculum that offers “memorable experiences and rich opportunities for high-quality learning for all pupils.” The learning of Hebrew reading and Chumash was highlighted as being of an “extremely high standard.”

“The Reception children have worked hard to learn all the letters and vowels, and after much practice, they are now reading carefully and gaining accuracy whilst reading from a Siddur. We are so proud of their wonderful achievement!”

The children hosted a memorable Simchas HaSiddur, where they sang beautifully in front of a packed hall of parents, grandparents, and other delighted guests. Following their performance, the children demonstrated their reading skills by reciting parts from Yigdal. The event was highlighted by an inspiring address from the school principal, Rabbi Z.H. Lieberman, before each child was presented with their very first Siddur.

A big Mazel Tov to the Reception class of Beit Shvidler!
