Prestwich Great-Grandmother, Mrs Edwina Rosenberg has been awarded an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honour’s list, for voluntary services brought to people in long term care and to the community of Bury.

Among numerous other ventures, Mrs Rosenbrg wrote to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in October last year regarding the need to help young people.

Her six decade spell as a volunteer began aged just 16 and has involved schools, Hospitals,and Nursing homes.

Before Covid-19, Mrs Rosenberg visited many Care homes dressing up in her own handmade dresses.
