Sage Nursing Home held its 30th Anniversary Dinner at the Marriott Hotel , Grosvenor Square on Monday evening.
The first dinner to be held in over 10 years honoured the memory of Sage’s former deputy manager, the late Ettie Weissbraun, whose daughter attended.
In front of an audience of over 200 guests, speakers included Adrian Jacobs, Chief Executive Officer, who introduced the evening, Chairman, Stephen Goldberg, who made the appeal and introduced the video and guest speaker Alex Brummer, City Editor of the Daily Mail .
Brummer spoke about the impact of the new Labour Government, the new Chancellor and aspects of the UK economy.
Entertainment was provided by Shai Abramson, former Chief Cantor of the Israel Defense Forces, who concluded the evening with renditions of ‘Bring Them Home’ from Les Miserables in relation to the Israeli hostages held in captivity in Gaza
Jacobs and Goldberg paid tribute to Weissbraun and members of the Sage team.
“The evening demonstrated the support for Sage by the community.“
Goldberg added: “The event underlined Sage’s vital contribution.”
Jonathan Metliss, whose parents were in Sage, helped organise the guest speaker.
