Israel and Hamas are reported to have agreed a humanitarian pause in the fighting on Sunday, to allow 600,000 Palestinian children to receive a vaccine against Polio.

The World Health Organisation noted that an agreement had been reached and this comes after a case of polio had been identified in the Gaza Strip this week.

Prime Minister Netanyahu insisted however, that this does not amount to a ceasefire. More than 100 hostages remain in captivity.

Earlier this week, IDF and the ISA successfully rescued Farhan al-Qadi and Netanyahu said upon his return, “We are working relentlessly to return all of our hostages. We are doing this in two main ways: Negotiations and rescue operations. The two of these together require our military presence on the ground, and constant military pressure. We will continue to act until we return all of them home.”
