Jewish Choice has received the official good news that all its residents are virus free.

A representative said, “While many care homes are closed to new residents, the experience and expertise of our long-established care team means we are ready to receive new residents again.

“Being independent, Jewish Choice can act with some speed in meeting the residential care needs of the elderly in the Community. Indeed, we locked-down some 10 days prior to Government guidelines.

“Our extraordinary carers, who crucially do not work in other care homes, ensure that in-keeping with our centuries’ old traditions, we continue to look after vulnerable members of our community. In conjunction with Public Health England and appropriate authorities we have maintained our high standards for residents in Choice House and in our independent living apartments, who while social distancing are never lonely.

“With isolation facilities on-site and access to Covid-19 testing via the GP, there’s heightened protection for all, so Jewish Choice is welcoming new residents.

“We believe we’re the only Jewish facility open at present. So really good news to report for the Community.”
