This week is National Safeguarding Adults Week 2020 16th– 22nd November.

Kisharon are pleased to support the Ann Craft Trust in this important awareness week which aims to start a nationwide conversation about safeguarding – so we can all be better, together.

Everyone from all walks of life, should be aware of the role they can play in Safeguarding adults and young people at risk to minimise the risk of harm.

Hadassa Kessler, Director of Operations from Kisharon says, “Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. We all have an important role to play in ensuring people who are vulnerable are safe from abuse and harm. Sharing this message with the wider community is key to this. We know that social isolation is a big risk factor too which is especially critical in current Covid circumstances”.

To mark the week, Kisharon will be showing presentations on the topic, talking to people they support to understand what Safeguarding means to them and by reminding staff members about the importance of Safeguarding including mental wellbeing.

Necola Reid-Warner, Supported Living Operations Manager. Kisharon says, “Safeguarding is of upmost importance to Kisharon and we are proud at our Supported Living sites to have a business continuity plan, infection control plan and a Winter plan to provide further safety measures to everyone in our service”.
