Side by Side special needs school in Stamford Hill delivered an informative programme of activities for pupils for Purim.
All nursery children were able to participate in a fancy dress parade, irrespective of their needs, and those in wheelchairs were supported to participate in the events
Pupils were given musical instruments to play Purim songs. Some children chose their favourite songs and had the opportunity to sing solos.
Gerald Lebrett, Side by Side headteacher, said: “It has been wonderful seeing the pupils getting ready for Purim. We have aimed to provide additional activities to enhance the children’s Purim.”
The schedule included a visit from a local musician, cooking sessions, sharing Mishloach Monos and giving Tzedakah. All activities are COVID-friendly with assigned bubbles, appropriate social distancing and cleaning between the activities.
