Seven participants took part in Maccabi GB’s Leadership by Streetwise three-day programme in Amsterdam last month.

A packed itinerary included a canal tour and visits to historic synagogues.

The group learnt how the Holocaust impacted on the Jewish community, visiting Hollandsche Schouwburg, a former Dutch theatre where Jews were deported by the Nazis, an Auschwitz monument park and a Jewish historical museum.

Delegates also explored a tulip market, met local residents and planned a new programme for future trips.

In other Streetwise news, project worker Catherine Charles and leadership graduate, Ben Rosen, attended European Maccabi Confederation’s future leaders’ forum in Paris.

The seminar’s theme was ‘Business and Entrepreneurship’.

Speakers shared experiences on start-ups, entrepreneurship and mindsets to succeed.

Speakers included former alumni together with experts in business, journalism and sport.
