Tragedy struck a family from Be’er Sheva during a holiday after Succot near Ashkelon.

Asher Hazut, 14, succumbed to injuries sustained in a lightning strike Zikim Beach on Tuesday.

Four other family members were injured in the horror incident.

Paramedics rushed all five to Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon but doctors were unable to save the youngster.

Asher’s 21-year-old sister-in-law suffered serious injuries. Hospital officials described other family members injuries as moderate.

Asher’s brother, Itamar, was not at the beach but said his father, Eliezer, who is still receiving treatment, saved his wife and others injured.

Asher’s parents preyed while he was in intensive care.
