The Nicky Alliance Centre, or the Nicky as it’s locally known, was formerly the Manchester Jewish Blind Society, which was located on the same site on Middleton Road.
The members of the Nicky are elderly, partially sighted and lonely. The Nicky has many activities, like the Arts and Crafts club run by Tracey Flasz for the past 17 years, yoga for keeping those joints healthy, and the Reminiscences group. Many entertainers drop in during afternoon tea, and lunch is kosher catered.
For more information, please call 0161-740-0111 to speak to Michelle Wiseman, the Manchester Jewish Community Care CEO. Manchester JCC is housed in the Nicky Alliance Centre.
