Speaking to the BBC this evening, Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis reflected on his association with the Queen and her deep interest and respect she had for the Jewish people, allowing them freedom to practice their religion.

The Chief Rabbi spoke of the prayer on Shabbat morning, recited on behalf of the Monarch, in synagogues across the country and said that he would be composing a new version of this prayer in time for Shabbat.
