Kisharon is excited to launch their 2022 Purim fundraising campaign – Make a Change. The charity is asking supporters in a number of ways to take part to ‘make a change’ to the people it supports this year for Purim.
Bucket Challenge: Donate change in the annual Purim bucket appeal. Kisharon is encouraging volunteers of all ages from all communities to take part by collecting change to ‘make a change’. All you need to do is register to be a collector and get creative!

There is a wonderful range of prizes to be won for the collector who raises the most or in a particularly creative way and, of course, for the collector who ‘makes a change’ with the most original costume!  Prizes include Amazon vouchers and games donated by The Happy Puzzle Company.

Mishloach Manot: Donate to Kisharon in place of Mishloach Manot with a donation card.

The card can be posted or downloaded from the Kisharon website and emailed to family and friends.

Social Enterprise Mishloach Manot: Students at Kisharon’s Further Education College have been busy putting together Purim orders placed by synagogues and schools. The bags contain a drink, crisps and sweets, packed in a bag and decorated with ribbon. Students have also prepared re-useable glass filled jars that will be sold at the Equal Gift and Homeware Store, filled with jelly beans and Belgian chocolate cranberries. Also available is the range of delicious Ooh La La® Confectionary including Nougat, Chocolate Pebbles and Marshmallows that can be put together as a gift and presented on a beautiful dish from the store. These can be collected from the store in Temple Fortune or local delivery is available on Purim.

Carolyn Rozenberg, Director of Fundraising at Kisharon says, “We are delighted to be collecting this Purim in person again! We invite both long-standing and new supporters to sign up to collect for 2022 and look forward to seeing people we support fundraising too this year.  It has been inspiring to see how the College students have embraced the first ever social enterprise project for Purim – every penny can ‘make a change’ to the lives of people we support.”

All funds raised from the Purim ‘Make a Change’ campaign will go towards the many services Kisharon provides, teaching life skills and giving greater independence. Kisharon’s outreach work creates valuable disability awareness, changing people’s perceptions of those with learning difficulties.
