Recently, the United Synagogue’s Jewish Living Division and Koren Publishers Jerusalem, unveiled the new Weinstein Family Edition of the ‘From Exile Towards Redemption’ Machzor.
This publishing landmark commemorates those unique modern days which relate both to the Shoah and to the State of Israel – Yom Hashoah, Yom Hazikaron, Yom Haatzmaut and Yom Yerushalayim.
The Machzor, which includes contributions from Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, Israel’s President Reuven Rivlin and Natan Sharansky as well as the late Golda Meir and Sir Martin Gilbert amongst many others, is available for use at US and some other communities.  A limited number are available for purchase via the US website, at selected communal events and at Jewish bookshops in London.
Speaking about the Machzor, US President Stephen Pack, said: “The days commemorated by this new Machzor have become important milestones in the Jewish calendar and are an integral part of modern Jewish life. This publication is the product of the imagination of the US’ Jewish Living Division’s Living & Learning team, demonstrating the strong bond between Israel and our community”.
Jewish Living’s Rabbi Michael Laitner, part of the team that produced that Machzor said: ”We hope that the Machzor will enable users to connect with the days it marks, by reading both the recollections of eye-witnesses and later distinguished writers. As we move further away from the source of the days the Machzor marks, it is imperative to pass on the memories and lessons from those times. It is our privilege to have worked on this for both US and other communities.  We thank the Weinstein Family and Koren Publishers Jerusalem for making this Machzor come to life, with its beautiful design and evocative pictures.
