Rabbi Zvi Portnoy and Rebbetzen Orly have been appointed the new associate rabbinic couple at Hendon United Synagogue.

The Portnoy’s, who had been at Loughton Federation Synagogue for six years, will serve Hendon from September on Shabbat, Jewish festivals and another day a week.

Rabbi Portnoy has a degree in psychology and counselling and master’s degree in Jewish education.

Rebbetzen Portnoy graduated in Maths at Manchester University, she teaches at Hasmonean Boys’ School.
