Mizrachi UK had the privilege of hosting Rabbi Shimshon Nadel, esteemed scholar and educator, as he delivered insightful teachings to the Edgware community last Shabbat. Serving as Mizrachi UK’s Scholar in Residence, Rabbi Nadel captivated attendees with captivating lectures at various synagogues, sparking meaningful discussions on pressing issues facing the Jewish community today.

One of the highlights was Rabbi Nadel’s talk at Seuda Shlishit titled “Identity, Assimilation, Anti-Semitism, and Advocacy in Megillat Esther,” which sparked engaging dialogue among participants. Throughout the weekend, Rabbi Nadel spoke at prominent congregations in Edgware, including Edgware United, Ahavat Yisrael, and Edgware Adath.

Originally from Jerusalem, Rabbi Nadel serves as Rav Kehila of Har Nof’s Kehilat Zichron Yosef and has contributed scholarly work to esteemed publications such as Techumin and Hakirah.

The event was made possible by the support of Joel Silberstein, in loving memory of his late mother Mazal Tov Bat Shalom, who facilitated Rabbi Nadel’s visit to Edgware.

Reflecting on the success of Rabbi Nadel’s visit, David Reuben, Executive Director of Mizrachi UK, expressed gratitude for Rabbi Nadel’s impactful contributions to the Edgware community. Reuben emphasized the importance of Rabbi Nadel’s teachings in deepening connections to Am Yisrael and Eretz Yisrael, and looked forward to future collaborations with him.

Mizrachi UK remains dedicated to bringing esteemed scholars and educators to communities across the UK, fostering growth, inspiration, and unity within Jewish communities. Communities across the country can anticipate another enriching experience during their annual Weekend of Inspiration in May.
