Champions L’Equipe ended the Maccabi GB SFL Division Two campaign on a winning note with a 3-1 win over Real Hendon.

The runaway league champs finished eight points clear of Temple Fortune.

James Bell, David Prager and Jon Kay hit the target for Nick Stern’s team.

“I am so proud of my team who have been able to achieve what many thought was impossible and that was to finally win the league,” said an ecstatic Stern.

“It’s been a tumultuous 10 years of highs and lows so to it top off by winning the title is special,” added club chairman Mark Singer, who set up and had captained the team.

“It means so much to the squad this season and also to former players.”

“Some of the past players and managers came down for the game, which was fantastic and luckily we were about to be on a bit of show for everyone.

“There was a great atmosphere to mark our achievement.”

Elsewhere, in the league, RC UK FC moved up to third following a 7-2 win at Boca Jewiniors.

The visitors led 4-0 at half time and could have scored more in a sterling performance.

Jonti Aremband was a hat-trick hero, Akiva Solomon (2), Avi Mocton and David Brown also hit the target.

Ben Retter and Michael Rosenthal scored for Boca.

Second bottom Hertswood Vale thumped Redbridge Jewish Care C 6-0.

The Essex team slipped down to fourth place following this reverse.

Harry Graham (2) Josh Gorb (2), Elio Elia and Josh Cohen were on target.

In other fixtures, Camden Park finished the Premier Division campaign with a 3-1 win against bottom club Spec FC.

North London Raiders B moved into fourth spot in Division One after a ten-goal humdinger against Finchley City.

Jono Rochwerger, Elad Hertshten, Alex Goodman, Jacob Gold, Jake Gilbert and Rob Benson scored for the hosts in a thrilling 6-4 triumph.

Raiders led 2-0 before Finchley hit back for a 3-2 lead before Raiders sealed the win.
